Description
System Overview
The Radix 4-layer leafy greens module is a commercial-grade vertical hydroponic system designed for high-efficiency indoor production of lettuce, herbs, and microgreens. It is engineered to maximize output while maintaining a compact footprint, making it ideal for indoor farms and controlled environment agriculture.
This configuration enables higher production density and improved operational efficiency, supporting consistent and scalable crop output.
Flexible Growing Configurations
The system is designed for operational flexibility across different crop types and production strategies:
- Adjustable water levels allow operation as NFT (shallow flow) or DWC (deep water culture)
- Each growing layer includes two movable raft trays for efficient crop handling and workflow optimization
- Raft configurations are fully adaptable:
- 180-hole rafts adjustable to 90 holes using cap inserts
- 54-hole rafts adjustable to 27 holes for larger plant spacing
- Integrated shade caps seal unused holes, preventing light exposure and maintaining stable root zone conditions
- Additional low-density options (18 holes) available for larger crops
- Compatible with propagation trays and scalable production setups
- Supports microgreens production with dedicated tray configurations
Crop Compatibility
- Lettuce
- Leafy greens and salad mixes
- Culinary herbs (basil, parsley, etc.)
- Microgreens
Optional System Upgrades
- Irrigation systems and water circulation pumps
- EC / pH monitoring and automated dosing systems
- Climate control systems (HVAC, dehumidification, ventilation)
- Full automation integration (controllers, sensors, smart systems)
Technical Note
This module includes the growing structure and integrated LED lighting system. Additional systems such as irrigation, nutrient dosing, and climate control are required for full commercial operation and can be configured based on project requirements.
Minimum order quantity may apply depending on configuration and project scale.
